If this would have come out before the Strokes it may have had a chance but unfortunately it didn't. Albert did a good job with this album, however it sounds way too much like a Strokes album. I'm guessing he won't try this again and if he does he probably shouldn't. The best advice for Albert is just to stick with the Strokes, imo.

I agree with you vandaleyez2, just give a listen to 'Bright Young Thing', or 'Scared' from Donnie Darko for proof. I like the Strokes, but this man can WRITE! Look at Albert Hammond Sr., for proof of this great talent lineage.

kapikpai thats your opinion as this is mine that the strokes arent better then albert by himself they're just more famous since they've been out more but if you give enough time and the same as the strokes albert hammond jr will probably be better

Not to be mean to Albert Hammond Jr but it sounds like 4th rate Strokes , just proves that the greatness of The Strokes lays with the fact that they are a real band - 5 guys that make it one , you must have the Valenci Guitars there , the vocals of Casablancas and the rhythm section with these simple metronome alike Beats and bass lines - it only says good things at the end of the day cause when a band is great IT IS greater than any Great solo artist!
